Calendars provide a wonderful opportunity to curate a collection of artworks centered around a particular theme or subject. As a photographer, I have had the privilege of working on a series of posters featuring food and plants. Some of these posters are quite large, which has enabled me to create intricate and highly detailed compositions.
Clothes on the Line, 2021
Milan, 2021
This calendar showcases a series of photographs of clothes hanging to dry, taken during my travels to various destinations around the world, including Portugal and Cuba. While exploring these places, I was struck by the recurring sight of colorful garments swaying in the breeze, adding a charming and picturesque element to the local scenery. Each photograph in this calendar is a carefully selected representation of this unique cultural phenomenon, presenting a glimpse into the daily lives and traditions of different communities across the globe.
Al Seminatore conservatory
Milan, 1987/1989
These calendars were commissioned by Al Seminatore, a plant nursery specializing in indoor plants. I aimed to capture the unique beauty and character of different cacti and indoor plants in a studio setting. The resulting images were curated into three distinct calendars, each showcasing a variety of plants to inspire and delight plant lovers.
Conservatorio Botanico I Giardini di Pomona
Puglia, 2016/23
I Giardini di Pomona is a ten-hectare botanical garden located in Puglia, Italy, that focuses on biodiversity. The garden features many different fruit varieties and offers a historical botanical itinerary showcasing traditional and rare plants in a rural landscape of rare beauty.
As the photographer for Pomona's calendars, I had the privilege of capturing the unique beauty and diversity of the gardens across different seasons. From the lush landscapes to the variety of fruits and trees, my photographs aim to showcase the essence of Pomona's botanical wonderland. Since 2016, these calendars have been a tribute to the fascinating world of biodiversity, highlighting the importance of preserving and cherishing our natural heritage.
