A life in Photography
A glimpse into 50+ years of photographic work, covering a wide range of subjects including nature, architecture, and various aspects of society such as childhood, immigration, and homelessness.
Sarajevo, 1979
I was born in 1945 in the breathtaking Cortina d'Ampezzo and grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Dolomite Mountains. I pursued my passion for photography after studying Fine Arts Painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan.
Throughout my career, I worked as a freelance photographer for several of Italy's top publishing houses, covering various themes. One of my proudest achievements was collaborating with Bruno Munari to produce a photographic book about childhood titled Ciccì Coccò.
My work frequently features portraits of ordinary people, children, and outcasts because I am drawn to capturing the uniqueness and authenticity of every individual, from their expressions and gestures to their mood and character. Additionally, I'm fascinated by the natural world's beauty and enjoy capturing it in various forms, from the detail of a leaf to the grain of a stone to the shape of a cloud.
